The Lincoln Building was built in 1910-11 as Lincoln's first high-rise. In 2004 the major renovation project to convert the historic landmark into downtown's premier luxury living units was completed. There have been many updates and refinish projects since then.

"The First National Bank Building, constructed in 1910-11, is significant for its association with the First National Bank, a financial institution that was influential in the development of the city of Lincoln. The building also has architectural significance as a representative example constructed in the Commercial-style." ~ Nebraska State Historical Society website.  For a detailed historical narrative for this building refer to the National Register of Historic Places Registration Form filed in 1998 here.

Notes of Interest

Sanitation 🚮

The garbage chute can be found at the back of the building on each floor. Properly bagged trash (no grease or liquids) can be taken there, but larger items should be left neatly in the trash area on the first floor.

Recycling ♻️

Marked bins can be found for recyclable items in the trash area on the first floor. Items should be reasonably clean and rinsed after use. Cardboard should be flattened and placed in the wheeled cart, opposite the recycling bins. Yellow bins can be used for transporting items.

Quiet Hours 🤫

City of Lincoln noise ordinance designates 10P -7A as quiet hours with a limit of 55 decibels outside your walls. Please report any disturbances to Lincoln Police at (402) 441-6000.

Fire & Safety 🔥

Fire code requires that all building passages remain free and clear from obstruction; please do not leave shoes, bikes, boxes, or other items in the hallways or stairways.
